This role offers the opportunity to partner closely with operational leaders, HR teams and union representatives to support effective industrial relations outcomes across your region. Working within a complex, multi-site healthcare environment, you will contribute to enterprise bargaining processes, support the resolution of industrial matters, and help ensure enterprise agreements and industrial frameworks are applied consistently and effectively. You will also play an important role in providing practical advice to leaders and HR partners on industrial relations issues. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their industrial relations capability, gain exposure across multiple sites, and grow within a large and evolving healthcare organisation. This role is open to candidates based in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne.

What You Will Bring

You bring strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, modern awards and enterprise agreements, with demonstrated experience drafting, interpreting and advising on industrial instruments. You are confident engaging with union representatives and supporting matters involving the Fair Work Commission. A clear and credible communicator, you can build effective relationships with operational leaders, HR colleagues and other stakeholders while providing practical, solutions-focused advice. You approach industrial relations matters with sound judgement, professionalism and a collaborative mindset, enabling you to navigate complex issues and deliver balanced outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead enterprise bargaining for the region or business unit, ensuring clear planning, alignment and effective engagement with key stakeholders.
  • Manage day-to-day industrial relations matters, including dispute resolution, enterprise agreement compliance, and union engagement.
  • Draft, interpret and provide expert advice on enterprise agreements, modern awards and related industrial instruments.
  • Prepare submissions and represent the organisation in matters before the Fair Work Commission, including supporting conciliations and responses.
  • Partner with Payroll to support the implementation of new enterprise agreements, award variations and related system or process changes.
  • Maintain and develop manager-facing resources, including enterprise agreement summaries, compliance guides and practical tools to support consistent application.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, providing timely advice to People teams and operational leaders on potential impacts.
  • Work closely with the ER Policy & Governance team to support HRBPs on complex employment matters and contribute to the development of ER policies, procedures and training initiatives.

Desirable

  • Experience in the healthcare industry or another complex, regulated sector.
  • Exposure to multi-site environments with diverse enterprise agreements.

Benefits

  • A competitive remuneration package, complemented by a comprehensive suite of benefits designed to recognise your contribution and support your wellbeing.
  • Outstanding career and leadership development opportunities, with clear pathways to grow and progress across Ramsay Health Care, Australia’s largest private healthcare provider.
  • Access to an exclusive employee rewards program, offering premium discounts and benefits with leading national and global brands.
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful impact, joining a purpose-driven organisation at an exciting time of transformation and helping shape the future of high-quality healthcare across the Ramsay network.
