About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available to become an integral member of our team at Ramsay Clinic Hollywood as the coordinator of the Mood and Anxiety Program.  This is a 10-day intensive group program for people diagnosed with Depression, Anxiety, or other co-occurring disorders such as Bipolar Disorder, GAD, Dysthymia, Panic Disorders, Social and other phobias, Self-esteem, or difficulty regulating emotions. You will be responsible for planning and facilitating mental health care treatment groups and contributing to the ongoing development and evaluation of the program. You will also be responsible for participating in clinical supervision, preceptoring, mentoring and supervision of staff.  This role is open to:           

  • Clinical or Counselling Psychologists
  • Clinical or Counselling Psychologist Registrars
  • Generally registered Psychologists with extensive training and experience working within a clinical setting.

Ramsay Clinic Hollywood, a private mental health facility located at Nedlands, offers a range of mental health programs and therapies in a calm, welcoming and restorative environment. Our programs are managed, facilitated and supported by an experienced, multidisciplinary team of health professionals including psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, specialist nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, art therapists, physiotherapists and dietitians.

Flexibility to work across a Monday to Friday roster is essential to this role. Part-time hours can be negotiated.

 

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset, preferably in a hospital setting, a passion and commitment to holistic client care and strive to have a positive impact on the wellbeing of patients.

Essential criteria:

  • Full Registration with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the assessment and treatment of a range of complex and co-occurring mental health disorder
  • Knowledge Experience facilitating process orientated group / psychoeducation group therapy
  • High level of training in two or more evidence-based therapy models for treatment of clients with complex mental health disorders
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with capacity to liaise effectively across a range of multidisciplinary team members, patients, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to plan and deliver quality patient care

 

Desirable criteria:

  • Experience working in acute mental health inpatient / day patient setting
  • Training and experience in specialised evidence-based therapy models relevant to program/s of interest: (For example., CBT-E for eating disorders program; CBT/Schema Therapy for Mood and Anxiety program; etc.)

Requirements
