Successful candidates must have the ability to work shifts across a 14-day rotating roster which may involve weekdays, weekend, and public holidays, working a variety of shifts.

 

About the Role

We are looking for the following positions:

  • Catering Assistant - Patient Catering
  • Barista/Catering Assistant

 

Reporting to the Catering Manager, you’ll be working within a fast-paced team-focused environment. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

 

Catering Assistant

Your skills and Experience

  • Exceptional customer service.
  • Being responsive and sensitive to customer information, their needs and wants
  • Setting up, plating and distributing patient meals and beverages.
  • Undertake cleaning duties throughout the department and at ward level whilst keeping in line with HACCP/Food Safety regulations infection control and hospital standards.
  • Dishwashing
  • Demonstrate a great work ethic and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise work loads
  • Be relaible, motivated and have a friendly nature
  • Allergy control awareness
  • Experience within the healthcare industry desirable.

 

Barista/Catering Assistant

Your Skills and Experience

  • Experience working within the hospital industry essential
  • Enthusiastic and a positive “can do” attitude
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Demonstrate a great work ethic and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise work loads
  • Be reliable, motivated and have a friendly nature 
  • Safe food handling skills
  • Experience within the health care industry desirable
  • Barista skill desired but not essential
  • Willingness and ability to work as catering assistant within the kitchen as required. 

 

Remuneration:   On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $27.87 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances
