An exciting new leadership opportunity has opened for a Nurse Unit Manager to join our team and lead our Obstetrics Unit!
About the Role
The successful candidate will be joining our Obstetrics Unit in a permanent full-time capacity.
Reporting to the CEO/ Director of Clinical Services, you will work with and support nursing staff in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements.
The successful candidate will supervise, lead, direct and motivate staff to achieve outcomes with the ability to manage financial and human resources. You will effectively manage roster processes, allocate duties for nursing staff, proactively increase occupancy where possible and provide a positive, safe, learning environment.
Your Skills and Experience
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife +/- Nurse
- Minimum five (5) years’ postgraduate experience as an antenatal, birth suite or postnatal midwife
- Recent experience providing care to women experiencing complications of pregnancy
- Post-graduate clinical qualifications (or currently working towards)
- Recent experience in a clinical leadership or management position
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willing to work in a progressive, cohesive, and caring team.
Remuneration
On offer is an hourly rate up to $65.21 + superannuation based on qualifications and experience. Exclusive of penalties and allowances.

- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
