About The Role

This position will suit a social worker with inpatient hospital experience or a graduate social worker who is keen to develop their skills in hospital social work.

The successful candidate will join a fast-paced acute medical environment to provide services to a wide variety of patients and their families inclusive of aged care, general medical and general surgical patients.

You will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of clinical care. Working in partnership with the allied health team, you will oversee evidence-based practice in a coordinated and efficient manner.

Your Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will possess:

• Social Work qualifications and eligibility for the AASW
• Health Social Work experience preferred
• Excellent psychosocial assessment skills (Highly developed social work assessment and counselling skills) and a strong commitment to high quality care
• Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
• The ability to work as part of a diverse team
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities within scope of practice
