About the Role
At the heart of the department, the Administration staff play a crucial role. As the initial point of contact for patients and families at our clinic, you will set the tone for a welcoming and supportive experience.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide timely and accurate information in response to queries by patients, carers or clinicians regarding hospital services.
- Ensuring all relevant patient forms are signed and patent labels are printed.
- Preparing claims to be sent to health funds and entering into relevant systems.
- Billing of accounts using the relevant system and other requirements as instructed
- Recording and reporting on administrative tasks associated with the day to day running of the hospital
- Attending to the telephones/switchboard using a polite and friendly manner
- Providing timely and accurate information in response to queries by patients, visitors, vendors and other customers, handling enquiries proficiently
What You’ll Bring
To succeed in this role, you will have the ability to liaise with patients, relatives, clinicians and vendors, reporting outcomes or needs to the manager of the department or direct line manager/ supervisor
You will also demonstrate:
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Experience either in a medical administration setting or a patient-facing role.
- Experience with Patient Management Systems will be highly regarded.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in and communication with a multidisciplinary team
- Understand and apply the principles of confidentiality and privacy
- Comply with Infection Control policies and procedures
- Ability to work 0.8 FTE hours across 5 days with the possibility for full time

About Our Hospital
Ramsay Clinic Adelaide has set the standard for private psychiatric care in South Australia. Our 83-bed facility provides a comprehensive range of assessment and treatment services.
Ramsay Clinic Adelaide is committed to funding research and supporting ongoing evaluation and outcomes studies in Psychiatric care. Ramsay Clinic Adelaide currently funds a half time Chair of Psychiatry through the University of Adelaide's faculty of Health Sciences.
Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
