About the Role

Joining our team as a Billings Clerk, you will be responsible for the daily billing to ensure the efficient and effective coordination of billing and debt collection functions at St George Private Hospital.

You will liaise and communicate directly with patients, health funds, hospitals’ administration and hospitals’ management regarding patient account enquiries, in conjunction with theatre and billing staff, and Doctors rooms to ensure the accurate input of data.

Your Key Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated experience in hospital billing is essential 
• Knowledge of Health fund contracts and/or basic accounting processes
• Accounts Receivable knowledge
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong computer literacy
• Ability to complete tasks within designated timeframes

Desirable:

• Certificate in Medical Terminology

• Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
