About the Role

Exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses to become part of dynamic Mental Health Crisis and rehabilitation ward at Hollywood Private Hospital – at the Ramsay Clinic Hollywood.

 

You will be joining our Edis and Ferguson Ward. We are looking for a Registered Nurse experienced in mental health Care.

  • Ferguson ward provides specialised care for individuals suffering from eating disorders, under our dedicated Eating Disorder Program team, we also support inpatient care for individuals suffering from addiction, under the Addiction Harm and Recovery Team.
  • Edis ward provides care specialised for individuals suffering with Major Depressive Disorder and in providing Electro-convulsive Therapy (ECT) where suitable.
  • Both wards additionally support needs of individuals with a range of mental health disorders including but limited to Personality disorders, Anxiety and stress related disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Bi-Polar disorder.

 

About You

To excel in this position, you should bring a strong clinical skillset in a hospital setting, including skills in;

  • Assessment: Conducting initial and ongoing assessments of patients' mental health status and needs.
  • Care Planning: Developing individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and other healthcare professionals.
  • Therapeutic Communication: Engaging in supportive conversations to help patients express their feelings and concerns.
  • Medication Management: Administering medications, monitoring their effects, and educating patients about their use.
  • Crisis Intervention: Responding to emergencies and providing immediate support to patients in crisis.
  • Psychoeducation: Teaching patients and their families about mental health conditions and coping strategies.
  • Monitoring Progress: Tracking patients’ progress toward their goals and adjusting care plans as necessary.
  • Collaboration: Working with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers.
  • Documentation: Keeping accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, assessments, and treatment plans.
  • Advocacy: Advocating for patients' rights and needs within the healthcare system and Community Engagement: Connecting patients with community resources and support services.

Key demonstrations:

  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Eating Disorder services Experience
  • Alcohol and Drug addiction services Experience
  • ECT Experience
  • Mood Disorders services experience.

 

Remuneration: On offer is a full-time equivalent, base annual salary ranging from $74,704.04- $98,304.19+ superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (WA gr1-gr8)
