About the role
The Day Oncology/ Infusion Centre at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Oncology and Chemotherapy trained RN to join their team.
The Staff at The Day Oncology Unit/ Infusion Centre deliver high quality patient care with sensitivity and understanding whilst assisting patients throughout their treatment.
Our centre provides chemotherapy services and clinical support therapies, as well as other specialised infusions.
Your skills and experience
- Current registration with AHPRA as Registered Nurse
- Current and full working rights within Australia
- Minimum 2 years post gradaute in speciality area of Oncology Nursing and experience in the administration of chemotherapy and other specialised therapies.
- Demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills
- Advocate for quality improvement
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Post-graduate qualifications in Oncology and or Chemotherapy nursing will be highly regarded, though not essential.
Remuneration
On offer is an hourly rate ranging from $36.65 - $51.47 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (NSW RN/Midwife gr1-gr8) [FTE $72,420.40- $101,704.72]

Lake Macquarie Private Hospital is a 187 bed acute Advanced Surgical and Medical Hospital situated on the Pacific Highway at Gateshead, 15 kms south of the Newcastle CBD. Specialties include Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, General Surgery (including Colorectal), Robotics, Breast Surgery, Plastics, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, Vascular and Oncology.
Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
