Cairns Private Hospital has an opportunity for a Business Support Officer to assist in our Finance Department.
The role would be suited to an accounting student or someone with previous office experience looking for a part-time flexible position.
About the Role
The focus of this role is to provide support and assistance to the commercial functions of the administrative and clinical teams. This position requires a background in finance with the ability to oversee:
- Patient invoicing and receipting
- Accounts payable processes
- Accounts receivable processes
- Banking and cash processing
- General and subsidiary ledger clearing and reconciliation
- End of month reporting.

About You
We are seeking a highly organised, enthusiastic professional with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. Your strong administration skillset, attention to detail and accuracy and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be critical for this role.
Your Skills and Experience
- High level of competency in Microsoft Suite programs is essential with particular focus on excel
- Experience in finance administration is desirable
- Experience with SAP Accounting package is advantageous
- Meditech Patient Management System experience is desirable
- Experience with Blue Chip Accounting package is desirable
- Demonstrated ability to meet reporting deadlines.
Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $31.49 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
