About the Role
Westmead Private Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) admits more than 1500 patients annually making it one of the busiest private ICUs in Australia. The ICU provides care for a wide variety of medical and surgical conditions.
The 16 bed ICU provides specialised care for patients who require constant monitoring, intensive nursing care and advanced respiratory, cardiac and renal support therapies.
As the Registered Nurse you will provide care to our patients across the full scope of our unit’s services and work with our professional team to exceed Ramsay’s high standard of care. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will work with a supportive and well-respected team.
About You
You are an experienced ICU nurse and can safely manage ventilated patient. You will bring a strong clinical skillset as a Registered Nurse with qualifications, or extensive experience in critical care. You will have a passion for providing quality care and be able to effectively work with a professional team to maintain Ramsay’s standard of care.
To be successful you will require have exceptional communication abilities and the flexibility to handle a rotating roster with day, evening, night and weekend shifts.
You will also bring;
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Minimum of two (2) years’ post graduate experience in a ICU/Critical Care environment
- Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in an acute hospital setting
- Ventilator friendly
- Post Grad ICU experience/qualifications desired
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain good working relations with others
Remuneration
On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $36.65 - $51.47 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (NSW RN/Midwife gr1-gr8) [FTE $72,420.40- $101,704.72]

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
