After Hours Coordinator
Northern Private Hospital, Epping
- Exciting opportunity to join the management team and work closely with our experienced After Hours Team.

- Permanent Part-time and casual positions available: Night Duty and dayshift
About the Role
This is a key leadership position that is accountable for efficient and effective operational management of the hospital after-hours.
- Support and contribute to planning, implementing, and evaluating care practices, processes, and services
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and legislative requirements to uphold best practices
- Collaborate with Shift Leaders and Clinical Managers to achieve excellence in care delivery
- Lead and inspire a dedicated team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient care
- Work closely with on-shift doctors to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to best practices
- Report directly to the Director of Clinical Services, contributing to strategic goals and objectives.
About You
To be successful in this role you will be a positive and effective leader with the ability to motivate others. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to coordinate and motivate a large team of clinical and non-clinical professionals.
You will also bring;
- Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 5 years postgraduate experience within Acute Care
- Demonstrated ability to be an effective role model in the area of clinical practice
- Sound Computer skills in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Critical thinking skills
- Analytical and ability to problem solve
- Advanced Life Support and Paediatric Life Support is desirable, training provided
- Critical care experience desirable but not essential.
To be successful you will need to be available to work a 7-day rotating roster across all shifts.

The Hospital
Northern Private Hospital is a 70-bed surgical and medical hospital located in New Epping, 22km from Melbourne’s CBD. Opened in February 2024, Northern Private Hospital facilities include 4 operating theatres, cardiac cathertisation laboratory, day chemotherapy, sleep study unit, on-site pharmacy, pathology and radiology. The Northern Private is also directly linked to Northern Public Hospital.

Requirements
