Part Time Role

 

The Opportunity

This opportunity will see you joining our team providing administrative support and assistance to patients and their families. You will also assist the administration and clinical teams by coordinating the necessary clerical requirements for patients’ admission to discharge. This role will see you working on a busy medical/surgical ward.

You must be passionate about being in the front line dealing with the public, our patients and our staff and enjoy a varied and fast paced administration role.

Key responsibilities of this job include:

  • Admission and discharge processes to ensure appropriate bed management and utilisation
  • Managing incoming and outgoing calls to the ward
  • Provide timely and accurate information to patients, visitors, staff and departments as required
  • Work alongside medical staff, colleagues, patients and visitors to ensure a smooth hospital experience for all patients.

 

Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will be an effective communicator with high level interpersonal skills and a passion for client care and customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values.  This role calls for individuals with a strong capacity to manage a variety of tasks and priorities over the course of the work day.

You will also have:

  • Demonstrated experience within a medical administrative role and know hospital systems like Meditech
  • Excellent time management, strong organisational skills and a sharp eye for detail.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Confidence and experience with various IT systems is advantageous
  • Medical terminology highly regarded

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
