Theatre Assistant

Albury Wodonga Private Hospital, West Albury

Part Time Role

 

The Opportunity

We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic individuals with a strong customer focus to fill the role of a Theatre Assistant. As a Theatre Assistant, you will be working in the theatre department with responsibilities including:

  • Working with and assisting clinical staff
  • Setting up consumables and other specialty stock for theatre cases for the coming days theatre lists
  • Ensuring theatres are set up for surgical procedures and equipment has been checked

Skills and Experience

An interest in patient care is essential to succeed in this role. You will have excellent communication skills and a willingness to develop a working knowledge of hospital procedures. You will be a motivated, positive individual and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.

You will also bring:

  • Certificate 3 or Certificate 4 Level in relatable field or AIN Certificate 
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Theatre Assistant or similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effective within a team environment and independently.
  • Excellent patient and customer service focus
  • Be available for a range of shifts across a 7-day rotating roster.

 

Remuneration

On offer is a base hourly salary ranging from $32.14 - $36.76 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
