CSSD Team Leader

Joondalup Heath Campus, Joondalup

Part Time Role

 

The Opportunity

This role will see you working as a Team Leader of our CSSD Team who provide timely sterile products, trays and equipment where needed. This is a critical part of the surgical process and the ability to work efficiently with your team to manage pressing deadlines is crucial.

Your duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Assist in the day-to-day coordination of the CSSD activities.
  • Ensure compliance with minimum requirements for equipment care, handling and re-processing.
  • Uphold competency standards for yourself and other technicians in all sterilisation processes.
  • Adhere to sterilisation standards and relevant legislation affecting practice.
  • Collaborate with Theatre & CSSD staff to ensure timely equipment processing
  • SSD Student Support and Assessment
  • SSD Staff Skill Set and Education Programme

 

Skills and Experience

  • Certificate III in Sterilising Services
  • Enrolment or completion of Certificate IV in Sterilising Services or Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment is desirable
  • Minimum of four years current SSD Technician experience
  • Thorough understanding of standards and AS4187 requirements
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity
  • Ability to deliver high-quality service through effective team leadership.

Requirements
