Part Time Role
The Opportunity
This role will see you working as a Team Leader of our CSSD Team who provide timely sterile products, trays and equipment where needed. This is a critical part of the surgical process and the ability to work efficiently with your team to manage pressing deadlines is crucial.
Your duties will include, but not limited to:
- Assist in the day-to-day coordination of the CSSD activities.
- Ensure compliance with minimum requirements for equipment care, handling and re-processing.
- Uphold competency standards for yourself and other technicians in all sterilisation processes.
- Adhere to sterilisation standards and relevant legislation affecting practice.
- Collaborate with Theatre & CSSD staff to ensure timely equipment processing
- SSD Student Support and Assessment
- SSD Staff Skill Set and Education Programme
Skills and Experience
- Certificate III in Sterilising Services
- Enrolment or completion of Certificate IV in Sterilising Services or Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment is desirable
- Minimum of four years current SSD Technician experience
- Thorough understanding of standards and AS4187 requirements
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity
- Ability to deliver high-quality service through effective team leadership.
