About The Role
An excellent opportunity exists for Allied Health Assistants to join our Multidisciplinary Team on a casual basis. You will work under the guidance and direction of our supportive Allied Health Professionals within our Rehabilitation and Acute stream services.
Duties will include:
- Conducting group activities/exercise sessions and individual treatments as allocated.
- Preparation of therapy areas, equipment and materials.
- Assisting in patient escorting/transport to and from Gymnasium and therapy areas.
- Assisting in departmental / service administrative tasks and maintaining resources.
- Inspecting and maintaining mobility aids/rehabilitation equipment for safety and function.
- Flexibility to work across departments between Occupational Therapy & Physiotherapy
- May be required to work across campuses
Your Skills and Experiences
This role will suit an individual with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills who thrives on working within a team. Ideally you will have had previous experience within a health care setting working within individual/group environments. The ability to communicate effectively with clients / colleagues and a positive, enthusiastic approach to your work will be key to your success in this role. You will also bring:
- Exceptional customer service skills and client centred focus.
- Sound computer skills
- Recent, relevant experience in a hospital/rehabilitation environment and Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance will be highly desirable

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
