The Opportunity

Joining our G Pavilion, a 35-bed General Medical/Surgical ward, you will provide care to patients with a wide variety of presentations with a particular emphasis of orthopaedic, general, breast and bariatric surgery.

As a Clinical Nurse, you will take on a key leadership role working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure the efficient management of resources and excellence in care delivery in line with policies, procedures and best practice.

This role will see you mentoring and leading a passionate team of nurses and clinical support staff alongside a supportive leadership team.

This is a perfect opportunity for a senior nurse to step up into a clinical leadership role and build your skillset!

Your Skills and Experience

To succeed you will bring a capacity to lead and inspire a team of clinical professionals and act as a passionate mentor.  You will bring strong clinical skillset in perioperative services and have the ability to manage and provide leadership to staff.  

You will also demonstrate the following:

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a general medical/surgical ward
• Orthopaedic surgical experience is desirable 
• Experience in the area of specialities
• Demonstrated clinical problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrated knowledge of quality and infection control processes
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with customers and co-workers

Remuneration

A base hourly rate ranging from $54.72 - $58.82 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD Clinical Nurse/Midwife Level 2 gr1-gr4)

Requirements

• Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
