Assistant DCS - Procedural area

About the role

Looking to take the next step in your nursing career? This senior management position has become available to join to Procedural area on a full time basis!

Reporting directly to the DCS, the ADCS-Procedural joins the ADCS-Inpatient to form part of the senior leadership team at Warringal.

Procedural area includes:

• Theatre department (14 operating theatre complex)
• Endoscopy (2 endoscopy rooms)
• DOSA
• Cath Lab (2 labs)
• VDPC (2 room Day Procedure rooms) 

As the Assistant Director of Clinical Services, you will;

• Support growth, business development and responding to the business needs identified by the Executive team and Ramsay Health Care
• Oversee care delivery and coordinating the activities of a multi-disciplinary team ensuring optimal patient outcomes are achieved, with the available resources while complying with requirements
• Plan and maintain hospital and departmental budgets ensuring budgetary requirements are met in consultation with other executive team members
• Measure workplace culture and implementing actions that support the findings to ensure a positive workplace culture is maintained
• Manage Human Resources to ensure future workforce requirements are known and strategies are identified and implemented.

Your Skills and Experience

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working at a management level
• Proven ability to successfully lead and motivate a team providing strong strategic direction and positive leadership
• Undertake reporting and policy development and review
• Experience in quality and risk management frameworks and clinical governance principles
• Ability to manage complex, challenging and demanding daily operational issues
• Although it is not essential, candidates with relevant postgraduate tertiary qualifications in Business or Management will be highly regarded.

Requirements

• Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
