The Opportunity

As Ramsay Health Care strives to deliver dedicated day and short-stay surgical services, it is essential to implement quality and infection control processes specifically tailored to this unique environment. As the National Quality & Infection Control Manager, you will support the Ramsay Surgical Centres by streamlining and designing effective workflows for this setting, coordinating, and driving these initiatives at the site level. Please note that this role is a 4-day per week opportunity and can be based in Brisbane, Melbourne, or Sydney.

What You’ll Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing and ensuring compliance with hospital accreditation standards, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Leading initiatives to improve clinical outcomes across all services.
  • Ensuring adherence to relevant regulatory, legal, and operational standards.
  • Developing RSC-specific quality and infection control policies and audit schedules.
  • Providing the DCS/GM with data to support decision-making and presentations to MAC.
  • Assisting the DCS/GM in maintaining the highest standards of quality and infection control practices and culture.
  • Coordinating educational activities at the site in the areas of quality and infection control.
  • Managing compliance with quality and infection control standards.

What You’ll Bring

  • Act as a skilled clinical operator with a strong understanding of the private hospital legislative landscape.

  • Understand the performance drivers behind quality business outcomes and have experience in implementing quality improvement processes.
  • Be passionate about the success and development of people, with exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a deep understanding of the needs of day and short-stay surgical hospitals.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
