About the Role

Our Theatre department is seeking experienced and motivated Theatre Orderlies to support a multidisciplinary team across 4 Operating Theatres. You will contribute to providing a safe environment for patients, staff and Visiting Medical Practitioners through the following duties:

  • Transporting patients to and from the Theatre
  • Assisting in the day-to-day function of the Operating Suite with patient positioning, theatre set ups, and cleaning and restocking of theatres
  • Removing rubbished and soiled linen
  • Participation in an On Call roster.

 

About You

You are a motivated individual and bring a client-first attitude with a desire to assist our staff and patients in obtaining the best possible outcomes.

You will also bring:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all patients, the general public and all hospital staff
  • Ability to perform a physically demanding role
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively following directions.

 Highly Desirable:

  • Certificate III in Health Services
  • Previous experience working in operating theatres assisting with surgical procedures

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
