About the Role

Join our General Medical and Surgical team and play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive safe and patient centred care during their surgical journey.

 This will involve, but is not limited to.

• Preparing patients for their surgery.
• Providing timely admissions, post operative care and discharges.
• Assessing, planning, coordinating and evaluating the care needs of patients.
• Preparing, checking and administering medications in line with the registration standards, legislation and organisational policies.
• Providing respectful and equitable treatment to all patients and staff, ensuring care is delivered professionally and promptly. 
• Work towards obtaining airway recovery and eye wick competencies.

The flexibility to work across a six-day rotating roster is essential for this role.

About You

The successful candidate will also meet the following criteria:

• Current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse with 2 years minimum experience of Surgical nursing is required.
• IV Qualified.
• Paediatric nursing experience (desirable).
• Demonstrated ability to deliver quality patient care.
• Ability to use initiative, self-motivation and work as a team member with supervision.

• Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
