The Opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the health care and hospital support teams in the provision of services, patient transport using dedicated equipment and care for patients within the limitations specified by qualification standards, Hospital policies and guidelines.

This is a casual opportunity to work as a Patient Service Assistant. Your duties will include:

• Provide patient care where required or supported by clinical staff members
• Performing cleaning duties in patient rooms and common areas
• Assist patients on arrival and allow them to settle for their admission.
• Pick up new admissions from Pindara using Hospital wheelchair Accessible Car
• Transport patients to and from appointments using Hospital Wheelchair Accessible Car

Your Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will be a positive and effective team player who brings excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage your time effectively to meet your responsibilities.

You will also hold;

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Health Services or Care Support Services (Desirable)
• Experience within a clinical hospital setting
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
• Solid understanding of hospital operations, medical terminology, and quality patient care
• Understanding importance of infection control and manual handling guidelines

  Desirable: 

• Nursing Student Year 2 -3 
• Certificate 4 in Health Services 

Remuneration

On offer is an attractive base salary + superannuation. Based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements

• Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
• According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
