CSSD Manager

About You
This role is open to suitably qualified people with either a perioperative nursing background, including CSSD experience OR a Sterilisation Technician with extensive experience, the appropriate sterilising qualifications and previous management experience.
You will have the ability to work well with a close-knit department. You will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with relevant standards as well as the daily management of the department.
Knowledge of relevant standards and accreditation requirements will be vital to success in this role.
You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire, motivate and mentor your team. You will be a leader with a passion for seeing your team members succeed and grow in their roles. Your attention to detail and skills in providing excellent clinical services will be highly regarded.
Essential:
- Experienced Sterilising Technician with Certificate III in Sterilising Services OR Perioperative Nurse with AHPRA registration
- Current knowledge of all aspects of Sterilising Services including relevant standards
- 3 years minimum experience within the CSSD environment
- Previous experience within a management or leadership role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to act as a positive role model and inspire your team
- Demonstrated ability to nurture and develop team members with potential to advance their career
- Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and capital resources
Desirable:
- Certificate IV in Sterilising Services or relevant Post graduate qualifications
