The Opportunity
We are seeking qualified Occupational Therapists, Creative Arts and Music Therapists, and Diversional Therapists to join our multidisciplinary allied health team to deliver holistic weekend therapeutic programs within an inpatient mental health setting. In this role you will be supporting our weekend sessions at Ramsay Clinic Northside. You will need to have demonstrated confidence in group facilitation and the ability to engage patients across age groups and a variety of mental health diagnoses.
Reporting to the Allied Health Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.
Your duties in this role will include:
- Planning and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions
- Facilitating group sessions using art, music, or leisure-based activities
- Promoting creative expression and reflection through various mediums
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation
- Encouraging social engagement
- Collaborating within a multidisciplinary allied health team
Skills and Experience
You will have the ability to plan and organise skills groups, along with a commitment to excellence in the delivery of healthcare services to patients seeking mental health treatment. To succeed in this role, you will be a motivated and flexible team player with a high degree of professionalism.
You will need to demonstrate:
- Qualified at an Occupational Therapists, Creative Arts and Music Therapists, and Diversional Therapists with the appropriate registrations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be self-motivated and function autonomously whilst also being able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to facilitate and deliver skill group content with creativity and flexibility
- Able to plan, organise and prioritise workload in a complex therapeutic environment
- Familiar with Microsoft Suite
