The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated nursing leader with excellent interpersonal skills, to manage Quality, Risk and Infection Prevention & Control at Castlecrag and Hunters Hill Private Hospitals. Working directly with the Director Clinical Services from both hospitals, the role is responsible for the efficient and effective management of Quality, Risk and Infection Prevention & Control Program across both facilities.
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for the leadership, implementation, monitoring and drive of the hospital’s clinical safety, quality and infection and prevention control framework. You will coordinate the implementation of quality improvement activities, projects, and initiatives to maintain accreditation standards, regulatory compliance, and patient experience. As a manager you will work closely with the hospital executive teams to build capacity and capability as well as provide effective leadership and guidance in quality, risk management and infection control.
In this role, you will support and enhance a culture within the organisation that embraces quality improvement and strives to continually improve employee, patient, and business outcomes in line with the National Quality & Health Service Standards and other regulatory requirements including participation in clinical data collection, collation and analysis.
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will have effective communication skills to communicate with varied stakeholders, the ability to manage challenging situations, provide clinical support to staff and efficiently oversee resources. This role will work collaboratively with several different stakeholders across both sites and the wider Ramsay community.
Essential Criteria:
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Minimum 4 years post graduate experience
- Accredited Nurse Immuniser or willing to work towards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise across various stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage challenging situations and competing priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs and other health-based programmes
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant quality improvement principles and the National
- Safety & Quality Health service standards
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
