Fantastic opportunity for a Nurse Unit Manager Scrub/Scout to join the leadership team of our Theatre department at Pindara Private Hospital

About the Role
The Theatre department at Pindara Private Hospital offers an extensive range of surgical services across 16 fully equipped operating theatres. As the NUM you will be taking on a key leadership role within the unit working closely with the Anaesthetic NUM and the Theatre ANUM to ensure the efficient management of staff and resources with the goal of ensuring achievement of excellence in care delivery in line with policies and procedures and best practice.
Reporting into the Director of Clinical Services You will be mentoring and leading a passionate team of nurses and clinical support staff so this role will suit an individual driven to help others succeed.
About You
To succeed you will bring a capacity to lead and inspire a team of clinical professionals and act as a passionate mentor. You will bring strong clinical skillset in perioperative services and have the ability to manage and organise your time effectively.
You will also have the following:
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Minimum (5) years theatre experience.
- Management /leadership experience essential.
- Effective skills in rostering to achieve man hour, agency and skill mix targets
- Demonstrated clinical problem-solving abilities and risk minimisation
- Demonstrated high level of clinical competence in area of speciality
- Demonstrated ability to train and coach others
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with team members and promote a positive culture.
- Perioperative Tertiary qualification is desirable.
