About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. In this role, you will help ensure the highest standards of cleanliness across all areas of the hospital, including wards, operating theatres, and public spaces.
As part of our friendly and supportive team, your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining exceptional cleanliness across patient areas, theatres, and common spaces.
- Cleaning and restocking equipment used during your shift and returning it to designated storage areas.
- Following all infection control procedures and hospital hygiene standards.
- Working collaboratively with the team while maintaining a professional, respectful approach at all times.
About You
You take pride in creating a clean and safe environment, and you approach your work with energy, reliability, and care.
You will also bring:
- Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role (healthcare experience highly regarded).
- A strong understanding of hygiene practices and infection control principles.
- Awareness of Workplace Health & Safety procedures and hazard identification.
- Availability to work across a flexible 7-day rotating roster, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to work efficiently, manage time well, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- A passion for delivering excellent service and a willingness to learn and grow in your role.
- Experience working both independently and within a team environment.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and attention to detail.
Additionally, you will:
- Perform all cleaning tasks, including decontamination of beds and cleaning of Wards and equipment [Desirable].
- Perform all is to transport patient’s duties between departments/wards and soiled linen tasks (Laundry Management), decontaminate all bins, and securely manage the Clinical Waste [Desirable].
- Assisting nursing staff with lifting/positioning patients (as required) and bed making.
- Identifies risks and hazards and reports promptly to ensure that safety measures are maintained.
- Perform other adhoc duties as required and requested by management.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
