Chef Opportunity | Casual Role

As a Casual Chef, you will prepare meals for patients, staff, the cafeteria, and special functions while maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality. You will work closely with the Food Services Manager and kitchen team, contributing to menu planning and kitchen leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals, including cold larder items.
• Manage kitchen staff and food stock, including ordering and rotation.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP) and hygiene.
• Understand and cater to diverse patient dietary needs, including allergies.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and equipment.

What We Are Looking For:

• Certificate in Commercial Cooking (essential).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a chef, preferably in healthcare or aged care.
• Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• Strong knowledge of allergy management and safe food handling.
• Leadership skills and a positive team approach.
• Commitment to food quality and hygiene standards.

Food Service Assistant | Part-time

As a Food Service Assistant, you will support meal preparation and delivery, ensuring patients receive meals that meet their dietary requirements while maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve patient meal trays and beverages.
• Take meal orders and assist with basic food preparation.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards.
• Monitor and manage stock levels.
• Work across a rotating 7-day roster (morning and afternoon shifts).

What We Are Looking For:

• Certificate II or III in Hospitality (desirable).
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety.
• Friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Experience in hospital or commercial kitchen settings (preferred).
• Flexibility to work a 7-day roster.
