Learning and Development Manager to join our team on a Permanent Part-Time basis.
Manage learning and development requirements for our facility caring for Mental Health and Day Surgery patients.
About the Role
You will hold a key leadership and management role within the hospital and will be accountable for the efficient and effective management of clinical and non-clinical education and competency programs across the hospital. The role encompasses planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and services related to Hospital wide education. The role requires working with and supporting all managers in achieving excellence in care delivery and service delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements. Works closely with the Executive team to improve procedural service provision and achieve departmental and Hospital objectives.
In this role, you will report to the Director of Clinical Services.
About You
Essential Criteria
- Current relevant registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
- Extensive clinical skills and 3+ years’ experience in clinical education / management
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment
- Knowledge of methods of assisting and facilitating learning
- Experience in successfully delivering informal and formal education programs
- Demonstrated ability to effectively apply adult learning principles
- Understanding of accreditation process in relation to education portfolio
- Effective time management, communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment & independently as required
- Ability to apply research findings to clinical practice
- Advanced computer literacy in MS Office programs Desirable
- Peri-operative nursing experience
Desirable Criteria
- Post graduate studies in peri-operative nursing
- Qualification in Education and/or health services management
- Previous management / leadership experience
- Previous experience in developing, delivering and evaluating adulty training and education
- General knowledge of adult learning principles
Remuneration
$62.29 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
