About the Role:

In the role of Clerical Officer, your primary responsibility will be to deliver a comprehensive and customer-focused service across Emergency Department Administration, with a particular emphasis on administrative tasks related to Pre-admissions. 

Your duties will encompass but are not restricted to:

• Processing all patients that arrive through the Emergency Department
• Ensuring patients possess the appropriate level of health fund coverage.
• Take payments of any out of pockets and Emergency fee from patients.
• Balance and close cash drawers at the end of shift.
• Provide timely and accurate information to the Clinical Team.

• Expanded Medical Terminology Knowledge: A deeper understanding is always an advantage.
• Health Insurance Criteria Awareness: Knowledge of various health insurance criteria is a plus.
• Meditech System Familiarity: If you are acquainted with Meditech, that’s a bonus!

Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate of $32.83 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
