About The Role
You will be joining a small friendly team in our medical records department at Cairns Private Hospital currently consisting of a part time medical records clerk, a casual business support officer as well as the Health Information Manager.
Mandatory requirements for the role are to have a great eye for detail, be able to work efficiently under pressure as well as being able to meet the physical requirements of the role, as it is required to manually move paper medical records from trolleys to various filing compactors/shelfs etc. on a consistent basis.
Joining our team and reporting to the Health Information Manager, you'll work closely with a friendly, tight-knit group that thrives on teamwork, fostering a welcoming and collaborative environment.
About You
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are an absolute must have as constant communication is required internally as well as externally.
- Previous experience in a medical records department or similar clerical role within a healthcare setting would be highly regarded.
- Enthusiasm for patient care and a commitment to delivering customer-focused services at a high standard.
- Capability to handle demanding situations and meet strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated respect for privacy and confidentiality policies and guidelines.
- Proven initiative-taking when required.
- Intermediate computer knowledge and literacy.
- A great eye for detail is an absolute must for this position.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
