About the Role
The Avenue is seeking a permanent, full time maintenance technician to perform basic repair works and maintenance duties within our hospital. This role will see you coordinate the work of maintenance contractors for specialist works, participate in an afterhours on call roster and ensure all maintenance duties and responsibilities are kept up to date via our online management system.
This role would suit someone who is keen to learn and apply their learning on the job, as no 2 days will ever be the same. All tools are provided on site, and you will be working with a supportive network team, performing duties as requested by the Maintenance Manager.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service to all customers, staff and stakeholders. A high regard for safety and willingness to seek information and ask questions is also important.
You will also have:
- Demonstrated experience in a hands-on repairs/maintenance role
- A willingness to work across trades areas within skill levels
- Ability to coordinate external contractors on site
- Understanding of OH&S policies and procedures
- Sound level of computer literacy skills
- Ability to work unsupervised and prioritise tasks effectively
- Can do attitude and proactive communication skills
Desirable:
- Experience in previous hospital maintenance role
- An understanding of commercial air conditioning systems
- Current unrestricted driver’s license.
- Relevant Trades qualification

- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
