Addictions Group Facilitator
Permanent Part Time (22.5 hours weekly In-patient Monday 7.5 hours, Day Program 15 hours, day program day able to be negotiated, one of the shifts will be an evening day program day)
About the Role
Ramsay Clinic Albert Road offers a range of treatment options for patients with a dual diagnosis of mental illness and substance misuse or problematic addictive behaviours. The Addictions Service provides inpatient support and detoxification as well as day patient rehabilitation and relapse prevention programs. Our therapeutic model which aims to enhance quality of life, support seeking, health responses to stress and personal functioning includes utilising CBT, ACT, DBT, Motivation Enhancement Therapy and Psychoeducation.
We are seeking an experienced mental health nurse or allied health professional to facilitate our Adult Addictions Services for our community and in-patient programs, working with adults in a group setting. Ideal candidate would work 3 days a week in the in-patient and day program setting.
About You
This role will suit a Registered Nurse, Clinical Psychologist, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist (APHRA registered) or Social Worker with Professional Body Membership bringing a minimum of one-year post-graduate experience in Mental Health and Group Facilitation. The ability to plan and organise skills groups along with a commitment to excellence in the delivery of healthcare services to patients seeking mental health treatment will also be key to all these positions.
You will need to demonstrate.
- Registration/qualifications within your relevant field or industry body, ie AHPRA.
- Proven experience in addictions group facilitation
Your Essential Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 3 years post graduate experience in mental health and group facilitation
- Training and experience in therapy modalities (CBT, DBT)
- Able to plan, organise and facilitate skills groups
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, the role will also include attending the multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Exceptional customer service skills.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
