Assistant Director of Clinical Services – Inpatient Services

Looking to take the next step in your nursing career? This senior management position has become available to join to our Inpatient team here at Peninsula Private as the ADCS.
Reporting directly to the DCS, the ADCS - Inpatient joins the ADCS - Perioperative and Surgical Services to form part of the senior leadership team here at Peninsula Private.
Inpatient areas include:
• Emergency Department
• Intensive Care Unit
• Cardiac Services Unit
• Day Oncology and Infusion Centre
• Inpatient Oncology Ward
• Inpatient Medical Wards
• Inpatient Surgical Wards
• Obstetric Ward
• Special Care Nursery
As the Assistant Director of Clinical Services, you will.
- Support growth, business development and responding to the business needs
identified by the Executive team and Ramsay Health Care
- Oversee care delivery and coordinating the activities of a multi-disciplinary team
ensuring optimal patient outcomes are achieved, within the available resources while
complying with internal and external requirements.
- Plan and maintain hospital and departmental budgets ensuring budgetary
requirements are met in consultation with other executive team members.
- Measure workplace culture and implement actions that support the findings to ensure
a positive workplace culture is maintained.
- Manage Human Resources to ensure future workforce requirements are known and
strategies are identified and implemented.
- Clinical Governance and Risk Management: Incorporating the concepts of risk
minimisation and continuous improvement within our Clinical Governance and Risk
Management Framework.
- Lead initiatives to monitor, evaluate and enhance consumer satisfaction and
engagement ensuring patient centred care and continuous service improvement.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working at a management level
- Proven ability to successfully lead and motivate a team providing strong strategic and
operational direction and positive leadership
- Undertake reporting and policy development and review
- Experience in quality and risk management frameworks and clinical governance
principles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
with diverse teams
- Ability to manage complex, challenging and demanding daily operational issues

Peninsula Private Hospital is a comprehensive 344 bed acute emergency, surgical, medical, cardiac and obstetric facility located in the bayside town of Frankston in Melbourne's south eastern suburbs. The hospital currently accommodates a 14-bay emergency department, 226 medical and surgical, 36 cardiac, 11 ICU, 7 Neonatal, 14 Obstetric, and 30 Oncology beds which include 15 day infusion chairs.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
