The Role
Play a pivotal role in direct clinical support, supervision, instruction and mentoring to staff in our Intensive Care Unit and our post graduate students.
As an ICU Nurse Educator, you will be required to:
- Provide quality, evidenced based training and support to staff and students within the ICU
- Develop, implement and evaluate learning and development programs across the facility
- Provide valuable contributions to the hospital’s quality improvement process

About You
As an organised and efficient professional, you will demonstrate advanced skills in nursing assessment and highly developed clinical problem-solving skills. You will be a positive role model with a natural ability to mentor and support staff with an innovative approach to education delivery.
Key Skills and Experience
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Minimum three (3) years’ relevant ICU specialty experience in an acute hospital setting
- Certificate/Diploma in Critical Care Essential
- Certificate IV in training and assessment
- Previous experience educating or preceptorship of staff in formal and informal settings
- First class presentation skills
- Sound knowledge of evidence-based practice in a clinical environment
- Proven ability to work within a team or independently, as required
Remuneration
A base hourly rate ranging from $56.6 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
