About the Role
John Flynn Private Hospital is seeking experienced Scrub/Scout Registered Nurses to join our busy Theatre team. With 12 operating theatres and a broad range of specialties, this is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of medical professionals, nurses, and support staff in a friendly department located on the southern end of the beautiful Gold Coast.

Successful applicants will:

• Participate in and support an on-call roster system.
• Work across a variety of surgical specialties, with opportunities to gain exposure to high-volume orthopaedic robotic procedures, Da Vinci robotic cases, and many other specialties.
• Be highly regarded if experienced in robotic or other advanced surgical procedures.

In this role, you will:

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care within the operating department.
• Review, plan, and deliver patient care in collaboration with the Perioperative Services Manager and Shift Leaders.
• Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team to ensure excellent outcomes for our patients.

We are looking for nurses with:

• A minimum of 3 years’ scrub/scout experience, with the ability to work independently across some surgical specialties.
• Experience or interest in robotic surgical procedures (general, gynaecology, and orthopaedics with the Mako robot) – highly regarded.
• A commitment to teamwork, patient safety, and delivering outstanding care.

About You

You will hold a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

You will also bring;

• Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Scrub / Scout.
• Relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded, though not essential.
