The Opportunity

We are seeking Level 1 and 2 Physiotherapists to join our friendly team working in our busy acute hospital setting. As a Physiotherapist you will be responsible for providing high quality assessment, treatment and discharge planning with a focus on quality, safety and patient outcomes. You will be specifically working across our inpatient acute wards including ICU, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic and neuro/medical wards.

You will work alongside other highly motivated and dedicated Allied Health staff in achieving exceptional outcomes and helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. Reporting to the Physiotherapy Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and Current Authority to Practice as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum twelve (12) months as a Physiotherapist within the acute hospital setting
  • Ability to effectively assess, plan and implement individualised physiotherapy treatment programs
  • Ability to efficiently manage caseload demands
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently as required
  • Commitment to professional development and maintenance of current evidence-based practice  
  • Flexibility to work weekdays and/or weekends and public holidays

Requirements
