About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Clinical Nurse to join our team at Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital. In this 12-month secondment role (maternity leave relief), you will act as a clinical and professional resource, demonstrating advanced knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to support the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.
You will report to the Nurse Unit Manager and work in a supportive, inclusive environment that encourages professional growth and skill development.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor, fostering a collaborative team culture.
- Demonstrate highly developed communication skills with a patient- and customer-focused approach.
- Work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure the department operates safely and efficiently in line with best practice standards.
- Assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate patient care delivery needs.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Relevant registration with AHPRA.
- Minimum 3 years’ post-graduate experience in your specialty area.
- Post-graduate qualification or working towards one.
- Strong leadership, time management, and clinical problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication, delegation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- A passion for high-quality, patient-centred care aligned with Ramsay’s values.
Remuneration: $54.72 – $58.82 + superannuation (QLD Clinical Nurse/Midwife Level 2, gr1–gr4) based on experience and qualifications. This excludes penalties or allowances.

- 9 state-of-the-art operating theatres, 2 cardiac catheter labs, a minor procedure room, day surgery unit, 11-bed ICU/CCU, and a 9-chair day therapy unit.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
