About the Role
The National Person-Centered Care Manager holds a pivotal role within the National Clinical Governance Unit of Ramsay Health Care Australia, acting at a senior level providing leadership, coordination and guidance in consumer and person-centered care strategies and initiatives. The role will actively strengthen consumer and clinician engagement ensuring that consumer perspectives are integrated into clinical decision-making, service planning, and quality improvement initiatives. The role is responsible for leading and implementing person-centred care strategies that align to the National Safety and Quality Healthcare Standards (Standard 2), and the Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights. This is achieved through the application of evidence-based quality improvement methodologies to influence decision-making, drive service enhancements, and support system-wide improvements.
Your Essential Skills and Experience
Holds tertiary qualifications in a relevant health discipline, with a minimum of five years’ experience including consumer engagement / quality improvement/ health service management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of study and work experience. Maintain current relevant registration with AHPRA.
Demonstrated understanding of Australian Health Service Safety and Quality Accreditation (AHSSQA) Scheme and National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards, particularly in relation to the ‘Partnering with Consumers’ standard, with demonstrated application of strategies to enable consumer engagement across a large and complex organisation.
Experience with evidence-based practice, research, project management, change management and quality improvement methods to drive innovation and enhance person-centred, safe, and reliable healthcare.
Proven ability to work within large, complex organisations, developing productive working relationships with a wide range of individuals and stakeholder groups, driving service enhancements and strengthening consumer-clinician partnerships.
Well-developed critical thinking with excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to develop reports, presentations, and training to build workforce capability in consumer engagement and quality improvement.
Proven high-level analytical skills to monitor and analyse consumer feedback, identify trends, and translate insights into solution focused recommendations and practical actions to enhance service delivery and patient experience.
Demonstrated capability to lead and operate both independently and collaboratively with the ability to influence, engage, and support hospital teams in delivering safer care upholding clinical excellence and professionalism with a strong customer service approach.
Excellent time management skills with proven ability to be self-directed, proactive and work autonomously with a high degree of initiative, able to prioritise work demands and deliver projects within agreed timeframes.
Commitment to the achievement of excellent outcomes, with a strong sense of accountability and customer service.
Desirable Criteria
Post graduate qualifications in health service management, quality or system improvement
