The Opportunity

We are seeking a Theatre Orderly to join our team at Strathfield Private Hospital. This position encompasses working within a dedicated team to provide safe transfer of patients to and from the operating theatre, demonstrating commitment to quality patient care and providing support to the nursing staff within the perioperative environment.

Your duties in this role will include:

  • Safe transfer of patients to and from the operating theatre
  • Provide safe effective patient handling and positioning.
  • Setting up of theatres
  • Maintaining a safe patient environment including the setup and cleaning of theatres during procedures
  • Providing support to the nursing staff

 

Skills and Experience

  • Theatre Orderly experience within the Health Care Industry - (Desirable)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effective within a team environment and independently
  • Availability for a range of shifts across a 6-day rotating roster
  • A strong willingness to learn and develop a working knowledge of hospital procedures
  • Motivated and positive with a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of manual handling and infection control procedures
  • Have an unrestricted NSW drivers’ licence

Requirements
