The Opportunity
Our Occupational Therapists work within a supportive team of professionals, passionate about providing the best quality care for patients. You will be responsible for providing high quality physiotherapy assessment, treatment and discharge planning for inpatients across the hospital.
You will have the opportunity to gain experience in the following clinical areas: General Medical, Oncology, Orthopaedics, Cardiothoracic surgical and neurosurgical wards. Skills and Experience
We seek highly motivated individuals passionate about patient centred care and who thrive working within a Multidisciplinary Team. You will have well developed clinical and communication skills with the ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who is keen to develop their skills in a variety of clinical settings and thrive within the quick pace of a hospital environment.
The successful candidate will also demonstrate the following:
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration with AHPRA
- Minimum one (1) year of occupational therapy experience in a hospital setting
- Ability to effectively assess, plan and implement individualised occupational therapy treatment programs.
- Ability to effectively manage and balance a busy caseload and administrative responsibilities within a hospital setting.
- Demonstrate problem solving and clinical reasoning skills, considering broader implications and longer-term impacts.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently as required
- Commitment to professional development and maintenance of current evidence-based practice
Remuneration
On offer is base hourly rate of $38.26 - $59.62 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
