About the Role
Contributing to providing a safe environment for patients, staff and Visiting Medical Practitioners, your role will involve, but is not limited to;
- Transport of patients throughout hospital, network and to other medical facilities within the metro area.
- Assess patient for appropriate method of transfer either by wheelchair or stretcher.
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of patient flow within the hospital.
- Maintains patient and materials manual handling competency.
- Checks and replaces gas and oxygen cylinders as needed in transport vehicle.
- Removes rubbish and soiled linen.
- Cleans transport vehicle and equipment and completes all vehicle checks as required.
- Carries out other duties as directed by the Manager.
About You
The successful candidate will be a motivated individual and bring a client-first attitude with a desire to assist our staff and patients in obtaining the best possible outcomes.
You will also bring:
- Certificate III in Health Services /Aged Care or equivalent desirable
- Flexibility to work across a Monday to Friday roster is essential for this role.
- Knowledge in the following areas of Manual Handling, Occupational Safety and Health practices, Infection Control and Housekeeping Protocols, and Usage of cleaning equipment
- Ability to perform a physically demanding role.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively following directions.
Candidates with relevant experience gained within the health industry will be highly regarded for this role.
Remuneration: Base Hourly Rates in accordance with Enterprise Agreement + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
