Glengarry Private Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Coder to join our team!
About the Role
Provide accurate and timely diagnosis and procedure coding for each patient discharged by the Hospital following the relevant Australian Coding Standards and relevant State Coding Advice.
About You
To thrive in this role, you should be adaptable, possess exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills, and constantly demonstrate courtesy and sensitivity when dealing with patients, the public, and fellow team members.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Clinical Coding qualifications from Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA) or equivalent Approved Program, or Bachelor of Health Information Management or equivalent
- Sound and updated knowledge of ICD-10-AM 13th edition, ACHI and Australian Coding Standards 13th Edition
- Proficiency with the Solventum Codefinder
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, patient management systems and digitised medical record solutions
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge and understanding of DRG and activity-based funding
- Ability to prioritise tasks and effectively manage time to meet deadlines
- A passion for accurate data and continuous learning.
Previous coding experience is desirable.
Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $45.02 + superannuation + levels of experience and qualification
