Opportunity
We’re seeking a Facility Claims Administrator who will become a key support person for all high-cost functions across the hospital. You will be a key point of contact for liaising with health funds, doctor’s rooms and submitting high-cost applications.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have an eye for detail along with exceptional organisational skills to plan and coordinate a busy workflow. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills allow you to maintain positive working relationships with others.
Your Key Skills and Experience
• High level understanding of health funds, contracts and their application to billing
• Demonstrated understanding and comprehension of accounts receivable functions
• Previous experience in Meditech or other patient management systems and SAP
• Demonstrated ability to operate in an environment of change
• Previous experience within the healthcare environment (desirable)
It will be ideal, although not essential, for the successful candidate to hold in-depth knowledge of:
• The administration process that impacts on billing and collections
• Patient admission and discharge processes
• Health fund contracts
Remuneration
A base hourly rate following RHC Clerical Award from Grade 4, Level 1 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
