The Opportunity 
 
As the Deputy Director of Clinical Services, you will be at the forefront of clinical leadership, guiding workforce planning, operational strategies, and the daily hospital management. The successful applicant will have extensive clinical and managerial experience in Emergency Department with responsibility for primarily for the Emergency Department and Mental Health Units. You will provide clinical leadership, clinical workforce management and operational leadership as part of the Hospital Management team to support the Director of Clinical Services and to assist the Hospital to meet its operational business and workforce objectives.

You are a positive, flexible and responsive leader with excellent communication skills, who is experienced at growing a constructive, proactive and innovative culture within your teams. 
 
Key Skills and Experience
 
Essential
 
• Relevant registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
• Post-graduate qualifications in Management/Leadership.
• At least 5 years in senior nursing management positions in the acute hospital setting.
• Proven ability to successfully lead and motivate a clinical services team
• Providing strong strategic direction and positive leadership
• Proven strategic planning, workforce analysis and policy development skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead Accreditation and Continuous Improvement processes in a Health Care facility and achieve sound outcomes
• Knowledge and understanding of contemporary clinical risk management
• strategies that are effective in promoting and ensuring high quality patient care
• Aware of the relevant legislative requirements and governing body
• Reporting responsibilities of hospital/ clinical services departments
• Sound computer skills using the MS Office Suite and Web based
• Demonstrated sound financial management & administrative skills in a hospital setting
 
Desirable
 
• Master’s or working towards same (Business, Health, Nursing)
• Demonstrated understanding of private health sector funding models.

Requirements
 
• Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
