An exciting dual opportunity is available at Pindara Private Hospital, combining 62 hours per fortnight as a Clinical Nurse (CN) and 8 hours per fortnight as a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE).

This role is ideal for an experienced nurse with a passion for cardiac care and clinical education.

About the Role

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager (CCL/CCU) and the Staff Development Manager, you will play a key role in supporting staff development within the Coronary Care Unit.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality, evidence-based education and clinical support.
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating learning and development programs across the hospital.
  • Coordinating mandatory and non-mandatory training and in-service sessions.
  • Contributing to the hospital’s quality improvement and safety initiatives. 

 

About You

You are a dynamic and motivated nursing professional with a strong clinical background in Cardiology, Vascular, or Cardiothoracic care, have experience in non-invasive ventilation (NIV) and are confident in managing patients requiring respiratory support.

You are passionate about clinical education and professional development, with a commitment to supporting excellence in patient care within a multidisciplinary team environment. Your leadership, communication skills, and dedication to continuous improvement make you a valued mentor and team member.

Essential Criteria:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum 5 years post-registration experience, including at least 4 years in a relevant specialty area.
  • Proven experience in clinical education or preceptorship in formal and informal settings.
  • Sound knowledge of evidence-based practice in a clinical environment.
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Cardiac Nursing.
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or Postgraduate qualification in Education (or working towards).

Desirable:

  • Completion of a Preceptorship Program.
  • ALS Assessor qualifications.
  • Cardiac Catheterisation Lab experience/knowledge

 

Remuneration: On offer is $54.72 - $58.82 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (Registered Nurse - Level 2 Year 4).

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
