Pindara Private Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse to join Ward 1B – Palliative / Oncology / Haematology / Medical. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a clinical leadership role, make a meaningful impact, and support a team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.

About the Role

As a Clinical Nurse, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to support quality patient outcomes within the ward. You will play a key leadership role in day-to-day clinical decision-making, staff mentoring, and fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.

This is an ideal role for an experienced Registered Nurse ready to advance into leadership while continuing to provide hands-on, specialised care in Oncology, Haematology, and Palliative settings.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as a clinical resource, providing expert guidance and support to nursing staff.
  • Lead by example to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support team members to encourage professional growth.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives aligned with hospital goals.

About You

You are a proactive and compassionate nurse who leads with empathy and professionalism. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, and are committed to maintaining a supportive and collaborative team culture.

 

What You Will Bring

  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in an acute care hospital setting
  • Strong commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Desirable:

  • Experience in oncology, haematology, or palliative care
  • Competence in chemotherapy administration and cannulation (preferred but not essential)
  • Demonstrated leadership or management experience
  • Strong time management and clinical problem-solving skills
