Physiotherapist - Grade 2

About the Role

This role will be based within our Inpatient Rehabilitation team at Beleura Private Hospital. You will be responsible for managing a varied fast-stream clinical caseload including post-surgical orthopaedic, spinal, medical/reconditioning and cardiac conditions. Additional duties will include assisting in student supervision, mentoring of junior staff and contributing to staff Professional Development and Quality Assurance activities. There will be opportunity for the right candidate  to rotate into our Acute service streams at Peninsula Private Hospital including orthopaedic/surgical, acute medical and Critical Care.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic physiotherapist to join a cohesive, progressive and integrated team who are committed to excellence in clinical practice and professional development. Applications from current Grade 2 physiotherapists or suitably experienced Grade 1 physiotherapists will be considered. Relevant postgraduate qualifications would also be highly regarded.

 

About You

We seek highly motivated individuals passionate about customer focused care and who thrive working within a Multidisciplinary Team. You will have well developed clinical and communication skills with the ability to work within a fast paced environment.  You will have access to resources to support you in this position, enabling you to further advance your leadership and clinical skills whilst delivering a high standard of patient care.  

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of physiotherapy experience in relevant hospital setting
  • Ability to work weekends / Public Holidays on a roster basis
  • Ability to effectively assess, plan and implement individualised physiotherapy treatment programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage caseload demands.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently as required.
  • Commitment to professional development and maintenance of current evidence-based practice  
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
