Join our dynamic Allied Health team at Greenslopes, where you will play a vital role in delivering holistic, patient-centred care. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a diverse clinical caseload while working alongside experienced health professionals.

 

About the Role

As an Allied Health Assistant, you will support our multidisciplinary team in providing therapy services to adult inpatients across acute wards, rehabilitation units, and day programs.

You will assist with patient treatments, maintain therapy equipment, and contribute to administrative tasks that keep our department running smoothly. We are looking for staff with both weekday and occasional weekend availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Allied Health professionals in delivering therapy to a diverse inpatient population.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions as directed.
  • Prepare therapy areas and equipment to ensure safe and effective treatment environments.
  • Escort patients to and from therapy areas.
  • Assist with administrative duties and resource management.
  • Maintain and inspect rehabilitation equipment and mobility aids.
  • Follow therapy programs under the guidance of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.

 

About You

You are a compassionate, team-oriented individual with a strong commitment to patient care. Your communication skills and adaptability will help you thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment.

You’ll bring:

  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or current enrolment in an Allied Health-related university program (desirable).
  • Experience in a rehabilitation or health service setting (desirable).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to work.
  • Completion of the online NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willingness to complete).
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).

Renumeration: On offer a base rate of $30.47 - $33.31 + Superannuation depending on qualifications and previous relevant experience (Level 2.1 – Level 3.4),

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
