The Position
An exciting opportunity has become available for enthusiastic and motivated Speech Pathologists to join our team at Joondalup Health Campus.
You will be responsible for providing a quality speech pathology service to an adult caseload who present with a range of swallowing and/or communication deficits due to diagnoses such as stroke, progressive neurological diseases, respiratory disease and head and neck cancer.
- You will be part of a supportive team of professionals who are passionate about providing the best evidence-based care for our patients.
- You will be supported in your career development with a specialised mentoring and coaching program and have access to instrumental assessments (VFSS and FEES).
- As a casual member of our team, you will be providing clinical backfill as required with the additional option to work weekend shifts.
Job requirements - What we are looking for

- Tertiary qualification in speech pathology.
- Demonstrated eligibility for membership with the Australian Speech Pathology Association (SPA) as a practicing clinician.
- Ability to assess, diagnose and manage adults who present with a wide range of swallowing and communication disorders.
- Demonstrated positive interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to function effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent time and caseload management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently in a complex environment.
- Commitment to continuing professional development.
- Knowledge of, and commitment to, quality assurance and/or the accreditation process.
- Previous clinical experience with an adult caseload in the hospital setting is highly desirable.
- An understanding of the relevant legislation in Equal Opportunity and Occupational Health and Safety.
